Speaking to Piers Morgan on Good Morning Britain he said: 'She was beautiful. I cried a little watching her. Merkel's Coalition partners threaten to start turning migrants away at the border from TODAY as German Chancellor faces being toppled within days amid deepening crisis
The German Chancellor's Coalition partners, the CSU, want to turn away at the border migrants who have previously been registered in another EU country. But Merkel (left) is firmly opposed to the plan, favoured by CSU Interior Minister Horst Seehofer (inset), warning that it would leave countries at the EU's geographic southern periphery alone to deal with the refugee influx. An act of rebellion from Seehofer could force her to sack him, which 'would be the end of the government and the alliance between CDU and CSU,' a source said. The highest rubbish dump in the world: How big-spending climbers have turned Mount Everest into a 'disgusting eyesore' littered with discarded equipment and excrement
As the number of climbers on Mount Everest has soared - at least 600 people have scaled the world's highest peak so far this year alone - the problem has worsened. Fluorescent tents, discarded climbing equipment, empty gas canisters and even human excrement litter the well-trodden route to the summit of the 8,848-metre (29,029-foot) peak (pictured). In 2017 climbers in Nepal brought down nearly 25 tonnes of trash and 15 tonnes of human waste - the equivalent of three double-decker buses - according to the Sagarmatha Pollution Control Committee (SPCC). This season even more was carried down but this is just a fraction of the rubbish dumped each year, with only half of climbers lugging down the required amounts, the SPCC says.
Hunt warns taxes WILL rise to fund May's £25bn boost for the NHS and says the 'Brexit dividend' won't cover the hike
Theresa May is today defending her claim that a Brexit dividend can help boost the NHS as she unveils a £25billion cash injection. The Prime Minister will say the health service is the government's 'number one priority' as she delivers a keynote speech. Mrs May (pictured left on a visit to Frimley hospital earlier this month) will point to her own experience of suffering from diabetes - saying she would never have made it to Downing Street without help from the NHS. Brexiteers including Boris Johnson (right) hailed the move. But the premier's insistence that money reclaimed from the EU can help prop up services has been dismissed as 'tosh' by some of her own MPs (inset centre). She is also facing a backlash at the prospect of deploying 'stealth taxes' to drum up more revenue for the Treasury.

Security is tight at the city's railway station (top right) with more than a dozen England fans turned out to watch the service at the city's Hall of Military Glory, in the heart of the Mamayev Kurgan memorial park commemorating the Battle of Stalingrad. The city, formerly called Stalingrad and named after dictator Josef Stalin, was renamed Volgograd in 1961 as the Soviet Union attempted to reduce his 'cult of personality.' Only 2,500 fans have travelled to the Russian city of Volgograd for tonight's Group G clash, (bottom right, Mr Grant with two Tunisia fans) with many choosing to stay at home amid fears over violence from football hooligans. Around 3,000 Tunisia fans will outnumber the Three Lions support in the 45,568-capacity stadium, but fan Pete Courts vowed: 'We'll make as much noise as 50,000.

It was taken against the backdrop of a raging dust storm on Mars, which experts say will become a 'planet-circling event.' Curiosity is weathering the storm, thanks to its plutonium fuel source, which means it doesn't rely on the sun's rays to power its operations. The same cannot be said for NASA's veteran Opportunity rover, which has been hunkering down in the midst of the unprecedented dust storm.
